Having Heart- Do you have it?

Building love in our families & relationships, Inspiring hearts with our abilities, birthing purpose-discovery through Christ Jesus, using motivation to endure through it all

With today’s generation, the rescue from difficulty, towards convenience, comfort, and the “I can’t” attitude has become somewhat more excepted in society it seems. The desire to excel while having heart, on the other hand, has become more so watered down. As a result, the key components necessary for making an impact with an actual outcome, while displaying heart, are far out of reach, and` the know-how. Having heart is essential for the grit, grind and for pushing through into your destiny. Don’t loose heart.

Proverbs 4:23, ESV- Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.

SO WHAT IS THE IDEA OF HAVING HEART?

Remember that person who didn’t care what it took? That person who remained present and ready to dig in get their hands dirty to do the work? They gave no attention to the amount of blood, sweat, and tears but instead focused on the outcome until they saw it through? They saw a value that carried them beyond their present struggle. And to do the work to get there, it actually meant the most… Whoa…
They’re usually the person that makes you question your own effort and your own amount of dedication towards your own tasks. Yup! that person. Not that we should be comparing ourselves to others but it does make you realize what’s important to “you” in contrast. It’s the kind of thing that makes you think, “What is the thing I care THAT much about?” What is the thing where people would say, “Boy…. something lit a fire in you”. Whatever that thing is, don’t do it to please men, but to please God.

Colossians 3:23, ESV-Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

DON’T COMPARE/BUT LET THEIR FERVOR ENCOURAGE YOU & FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU HAVE HEART FOR

Do we all respond the same when it comes to these desires we have absolute heart for? Not necessarily but the more important matters we will strive towards a little differently. What you don’t want to do is compare yourself to them but rather just appreciate and thank God for the extreme passion another has while understanding what yours is also. It took their extreme passion to do the job well in the first place. And you don’t really know what place they were in and where they were brought to in order to have their attitude be “all in” and nothing but. In fact, God puts an intense heart or desire in us for different things and for different reasons. We just gotta figure out what it is! You’ll know it’s right and it’s something more when it’s not a desire of your flesh but a result of God’s Spirit.

Psalm   37:4, ESV- Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

SO WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU AND THE THING YOU WERE MEANT TO HAVE HEART FOR??

Are you living it? Perhaps yes, or perhaps not yet.

Some of us as leaders, parents, teachers and examples to our society have led us down a road to lower our standards today one may say. Hmmm… What do you think? And have you settled for the bar that matched the status quo? Has that bar been fixed and it wasn’t getting raised to challenge you for anything? Has the status quo altered its integrity and has now weakened and left you chase-less for the thing you were once meant to have heart for? Is this you??

A “LACKING HEART” ISSUE REFLECTS THE FOLLOWING-
Being Lax! You feel it doesn’t matter at all when making a life-changing, purpose-filled, passion-driven decision.
Having No Hunger- Your desire has diminished. Without it you can’t feed and nourish your inner appetite to even begin to proceed in what God has for you.
Not Going After It You’re not craving, seeing or seeking the plan or implementing the work ethic toward whatever it is you’re pursuing. You Sit, you wander, you wonder, but you don’t GO!…                                                                    • The Meaning is Not Activated Inside of you- This means the idea of “having heart” lies dormant. Maybe the will and purpose is unknown or uninteresting. The chase lacks luster.

IT’S OK TO TAKE THIS MATTER TO GOD IN PRAYER… You can pray-

“God, Thank you that you can light a fire inside us to do, individually, great things! For any wrong thing in my life that I’ve had HEART for, that is not a part of your will for my life… please remove and re-position me towards fulfilling the thing that you have given me heart for. God, please start by teaching me to have a HEART for you alone before anything else. And through that HEART for you, Father please lead me to a path where my motives, activities, and actions stem from having the HEART to see the impact I can make in this world with you working in and through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The bottom line is that when we have a heart for the things of God, we’ll have the right HEART in us be reflected in all things that we desire to do. Our actions will tell us a lot because we move on what motivates and excites us the most. We tend to prioritize what excites us first and then having heart is what drives us! So how about you. Have you figured it out? What is that thing you have heart for?
