A New, New

Building love in our families & relationships, Inspiring hearts with our abilities, birthing purpose-discovery through Christ Jesus, using motivation to endure through it all

When new is discovered it is because it appears for the first time visually or atmospherically.  It has a beginning that serves as a distinct existence with differences that arrive and are freshly known.

New is favored because it holds an awareness to dwell in and to explore over, which is exciting.

If you’ve ever had a new outfit and new accessories with a new hair cut while wearing a gravitating aroma, together it makes you feel most amazingly together.  Your confidence has excelled and much more about yourself makes sense. You may say, “This is how I’m supposed to feel…

Well, that’s all great except that’s all external. When you’re back in sweats, a t-shirt, un-groomed or without any makeup on, know that you still hold much value in God’s eyes.

When you decide to allow God to make you over instead of your credit card, your new internal transformation becomes not a temporary identity but an eternal one. Let that sink in………..

When Jesus Christ gave his body up as a living sacrifice for man’s sins of the world, he did so that we could come to know a newness following our faith and belief in Him. As we ask Him to become Lord of our lives and follow His ways and teachings, we then begin to transform with a new heart, a new spirit, and a new hope. When newness happens on the inside, the outside follows by then becoming a reflection of within.  Our new exterior, through material display, has limitations and matters least compared to this.

Psssst!… God holds a beautiful love for you and He will meet you right smack in the middle of how, where and who you are. Except, now He wants to introduce you to a new you, through Him.

This is How You Become New

2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” ESV

Romans 6:3-4- “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” ESV

This is How You Think New

Ephesians 4:22-24- “to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” ESV

Colossians 3:2- “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” ESV

While setting your minds on these new things, you will grow to become more familiar by understanding things above and by increasing your knowledge. You can renew your knowledge often to match the image of our creator by demonstrating compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, forgiveness, thankfulness, the peace of Christ and above all love.

This is How You Embrace New

Psalm 96:1- “Oh Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!” ESV

A new song sung or played exudes your gratitude for your life and God will remind you that everything you need is in Him. It will keep you centered and grounded in your spirit and support your heart with a positive atmosphere. Give it a try! Find yourself a new song every month for encouragement.

Philippians 3:13-14- “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But on thing I do;  forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” ESV

Use forward and focused thinking. Press forward into the goals where God is rooting for you to trust Him in, instead of leaning back into old patterns and lying still.

Don’t Be Paralyzed By Your Past

It is a trap and it will paralyze your progress to focus on your past mistakes, the old you and your old way of doing things. To turn over a new leaf you have to release your prior error, misdirection, and behavior to God with repentance.

Acts 3:19- “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord..” ESV

We Win!

There is no greater love and no greater “new” then the new that comes from accepting and becoming part of the family of God. No matter what happens around our lives, in the end, you win! because Christ wins and you chose Christ.

John 1:12-13- “But to all who did receive him, who believe in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” ESV

Your Answer Lies In Jesus!

If your life needs a reset and you’re ready for a renewal on the inside that no amount of external cover-up could fix,  the answer lies in Jesus.  A new, new awaits you.

If you have yet to accept Jesus and become a new creation, not by the world’s standards externally but by God’s standard internally, you can by asking for forgiveness and by believing in the words of the final scripture below. Walk in the new and be blessed!

Romans 10:9- ..” because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ” ESV
