Life’s Voice

Building love in our families & relationships, Inspiring hearts with our abilities, birthing purpose-discovery through Christ Jesus, using motivation to endure through it all

Sometimes in life, people can decide for us how we feel, who we are, and how we should or should not be. They take their own experiences and their own understanding and truth throughout life, project it as our truth, and decide what will become our outcome and circumstances. Their decision of our disposition is the furthest from the truth. The truth is- our voice comes from an intimate personal place that is complex and only fully understood when we open up and share it.

Our voice and our response will naturally gravitate towards what we currently know and then our mind considers what we’ve heard based on what others have said, shared, and what we’ve read. Then the gaps tend to become our general assumptions. Period.

Your Voice Was Meant to Speak Life!

Let me remind you- everything in your own life that you have experienced, overcame, challenged you, and then brought success, will accumulate and then stir inside of the abundance of your heart. So now when you open up your mouth- you speak life…..to someone who has had death spoken over them. Or at least that’s how God would desire for it to go.

On the flip side those same experiences that brought successes and failures can fill our heart with pride, arrogance, or bitterness where we open up our mouth and speak death… Your life’s voice matters.

Matthew 12:36-37 ESV- I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Our Voice – Has a Purpose!

The greatest thing about “Our voice” is when it comes from or is inspired by the Lord, it is purposed. Has God ever lead you to express to an individual what you hadn’t planned to say? Perhaps. And the next thing you know there’s an imparted anointing released with such conviction in you that you couldn’t hold the weighted word back. Or, have you ever known just what to share to an individual because they were describing the fire you’ve already walked through.

Isaiah 55:11 ESV- So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

But what happens is we sometimes can become MUTE…

Here’s a reminder about being mute. I’ve been mute. Mute has its purpose. Its greatest purpose is out of being obedient to God because maybe there are moments where we needed to hold our tongue. I’ve also been mute out of fear of rejection or misunderstanding when my voice may have been the word someone needed to further push them through a season. Being mute for the wrong reasons may have us to live with regrets. Some of us may have been mute when we should have said I’m sorry or I love you while the opportunity was at hand. Some of us shouldn’t have been mute but spoken up for a friend or love one when we heard them being mistreated or when they said they aren’t doing ok. Sometimes rather than being mute, we just needed to pray for someone.

Your voice is every part of you that makes you, you. As believers in Christ, they are a makeup of our faith, our belief, the Holy Spirit’s guidance, our way of self-expression, our experiences, our personality, our logic, and our heart. How could all of those things ever even possibly look or sound alike every time??? They won’t always, and that is what makes each of us unique because our voice is unique for unique people.

Never see your voice as a burden or invaluable when it is spoken with your unique vocal print. When it’s spoken with respect, with love, when it is healthy constructive criticism, careful conviction, when it is positive, teaching, trustworthy, reveals your pain as a cry for help, is reassuring, builds up, brings hope to others, speaks life, or reveals your heart- IT IS IMPORTANT because it is YOUR LIFE’S VOICE.

And somebody…In fact MANY… need to hear it….

Remember, somebody is waiting to hear from you. There is so much waiting to be shared. Imagine the ripple effect.

Proverbs 31:26- She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
